LCM Network Newsletter

5/10/2023 Edition

Welcome to the LCM Network

Following the LCM company page, you can get early news of new roles. It may not be as pretty and curated, but you may hear of a role a day or two sooner--and those days can make all the difference! You can open the page via the link below and click the 'Follow' button on the main page.

Also, check out my website: LeahCareerMatchmaker.com!

To keep the LCM Network Newsletter free for all, consider sponsoring LCM. This will defer some costs associated with running the newsletter and allow more people to find roles that fit them. As a thank you, you will be eligible for increased signing bonuses for yourself and bonuses on your referrals.

Resume Tip of the Week: Track (and Follow Up)

This is a very short article with a tool that may help you to track your job search better, and remember to follow up! This is a super early MVP version I hope people can customize and make their own.

Click on the above template and choose ā€œMake a copy.ā€

Enter the job information.

Red columns will automatically fill in suggested dates for follow-up based on your last contact, so I suggest not filling in dates thereā€”change the date of last contact to remind yourself when to follow up!

There is also a status update column where you can select where you are in the process and automatically color code the row for a quick visual of where you are with each job.

Lastly, a Pivot Table shows how many (and what percent) of your applications are in each status. If itā€™s too depressing, you can hide it!

Please also share feedback on what works for youā€”Iā€™d love to incorporate any best practices to help people improve the onerous job-seeking process!
